Frustration among teachers can be high as they struggle to meet high community expectations and cope with the challenges of new curriculum, difficult behaviour and children with special needs. NZGSE was formed to meet a particular need in the education community: to produce teachers who perform well despite these challenges.

New Zealand Graduate School of Education is registered by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority as a Private Training Establishment under the provisions of the Education and Training Act 2020, and its subsequent amendments. NZGSE has been operating since 1996.
